Automatic Installation
- Go to Plugins → Add New in your WordPress admin
- Search for “Submittal & Spec Sheet Builder”
- Click “Install Now” and then “Activate”
Manual Installation
- Download the plugin ZIP file
- Upload to
/wp-content/plugins/and extract - Activate through the Plugins menu in WordPress
Setup
- Navigate to Submittal Builder → Branding to add your company logo, name, and contact info
- Go to Submittal Builder to build your product catalog
- Add the shortcode
[submittal_builder]to any page where you want the form - Start generating professional submittal packets!
Pro Upgrade
- Purchase a license key from our website
- Go to Submittal Builder → Upgrade
- Enter your license key to unlock all Pro features
Server Requirements
- PHP 7.4 or higher (PHP 8.1+ recommended for optimal performance)
- WordPress 6.0 or higher
- PHP Extensions:
dom,gd,mbstring(required for PDF generation) - Recommended PHP Memory: 256MB+ (for large catalogs with 100+ products)
- Writable
/wp-content/uploads/directory (for PDF storage) - Modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) for admin interface
Hosting Compatibility
- Tested on Apache, Nginx, and LiteSpeed servers
- Compatible with shared hosting, VPS, and dedicated servers
- Works with popular hosts: Bluehost, SiteGround, WP Engine, Kinsta
- Pretty permalinks recommended but not required
